Having a long celebration

Sunday, February 03, 2013

I'm having a long Birthday celebration and enjoying it.
First on Fri. my daughter made me a Birthday cake
(I worked in the calories so I didn't go over too much)
Then she worked for me so I could have the day off.
On Sat. my MIL made me a very nice brunch.
Today enjoyed a day at home.
Tomorrow Aunt Barb is coming for a visit
Tuesday we'll be going shopping and eating out.
Sadly on Wed. the celebration will be over and back to work.

Oh great news is MIL is doing so well she can drive short distances now and can do most of her housework as long as she takes it slow and rests in between chores. I still insist on doing the heavy ones for her, her chest bones are still healing.

Got in a great workout today did the 8 min SP Jumpstart video
I still have to walk any time there are moves like lunges and squats
also did 38 min of walking on my Wii without having to break up the time.
Woo Hoo that's the most I've done in a row in a long time.

I'm also having a lot of fun researching my family history not only who they are but also where they came from and what it was like during the time they lived. It's has my husband and my daughter interested in history also.
If only schools could make it as interesting to kids maybe they'd learn more.

This is my Great Great Grandparents she's from Paris France and survived the siege of Paris, he's from Denmark. They met in Florida and had 2 kids. The girl is my Great Grandmother.

Loved the photo! History is so much more interesting when you have family to connect it with. I have a few photos with people all dressed up in nice clothing for a day at the beach! Even have big hats with feathers on them.
