1 Month of Vegetarian Eating Done!

One thing I absolutely love (okay, I don't love it, but it's funny to hear) is "where do you get your protein from? I found this cartoon and laughed...

It's true. Those who ask, don't understand that you can get protein from vegetables, nuts, beans, lentils, etc.

So, I have been a vegetarian for a month. I "cheated" when I had scallops and shrimp, and I eat eggs. So I guess the term is semi/ova vegetarian. I rarely eat dairy and plan on very soon probably not having any animal protein what so ever. I started this as a plan to remove the growth hormones that have been pumped into our foods, but I love it now.

I FEEL amazing. My co-workers and friends all comment on how beautiful I look or how awesome my hair looks. I am apt to believe that this is due to the extra vitamins I am getting eating vegetarian.

I have lost 16 pounds this month of vegetarian eating. I rarely eat dairy -instead use almond/coconut milk with cereal and oatmeal. Its working. I am excited to see what another month leads to.
