This was the motivational poster at SparkCoach today and I could totally relate to this one! I am thankful I do know that the food and exercise are two totally necessary components to a healthy journey and that one isn't required because of the other. Today I'd like to eat everything in sight so it is a good thing that it is Superbowl Sunday and we're having our traditional calorie-full cheese dip for dinner.
Why am I wanting to eat everything in sight.... a conversation with our Children's Director at church where once again I am "the bad parent who doesn't know what is best for my children." I am getting closer to a place of forgiveness because this person does not realize she is tromping on my self-esteem and doesn't see any other viewpoint but her own. This is not my problem. It will be if I allow it to consume me past this day.
Otherwise, a good day at church and a great sermon on Solomon.
Isaac has a friend over and should be going home soon and then I'll start putting things together for the Superbowl. Isaac still needs to do his chores and Bible Quizzing before the game which I'm sure will spark some attitude. He's offering that a lot these days. LOL
Tomorrow... co-op and my monthly massage. The massage is timely and tomorrow will be an even busier day at co-op with a couple additional activities going on.
WEIGHING & MEASURING CHALLENGE - DAY 2
I haven't remembered to drag out the measure cups yet so we'll say 0-1 so far on my February challenge. This one is going to be tougher than my last two challenges!
The Lord your God is the One who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory. (Deuteronomy 20:4)
We don't become victors be conquering the enemy. We become victors through surrender to Christ. We don't become victors by our independence from the enemy. We become victors by our dependence on God.
The road to freedom is a paradox. To experience victory and freedom, we need to become captives. We need to develop minds captive to Christ. In this life, we are most free when our minds are most captivated by Him. Victorious lives flow from victorious thoughts. And thinking victorious thoughts comes from setting our focus on a victorious God.
