~ Day 1 and feeling great! ~

... wow, it's been awhile since I have been able to workout. But I am happy to report that I am now over cold #2!!!!! I am feeling great and ready to go. I started emoticon with Micheal Olajide's Aerobox System of Sleek, Basic Drills workouts. The workout set is based on boxing, sculpting (... more core and body weight exercises like push-ups & squats)and jumping ... I did the following:

emoticon ... I bought this rope-less jump rope system so that I could jump in my bedroom or anywhere using a jump rope would not be practical. www.jumpsnap.com
... I purchased mine from Amazon for a little less than advertised here. I really like it. I really don't care about the computer that counts jumps, calories, etc., but I like the fact that it has weights that can be inserted into the handles. It really felt like I was using a real jump rope!... This is great for beginners because you get a great workout and can build stamina & endurance, while learning jumping techniques and eventually working up to a real jump rope, if that is the goal.

I can't vouch for the workouts that came with this set because I didn't review them, I actually gave them away to a co-worker who has a jump rope and wanted to start working out at home. I have enough workouts with GoFit Basic and Intermediate jump rope program ... available here at Amazon: www.amazon.com/GoFit-Rop
... I also have all the Aerobox workouts that include jump rope exercises, so I have plenty of workouts to grow with!

Well, as we all know, exercising without balancing it with a good nutritional program is fruitless, so I have also started a 30 day (... and 21 day) challenge on a couple of Paleo/Primal teams. I did IF for 14 hours (... unintentionally) and ate the following for lunch:

Jerk chicken with veggies (cagbage, broccoli, carrots and green bell peppers)

... I am doing some batch cooking today and will post more about this later.


emoticon For strength training, I am doing a 90 day Les Mills Pump challenge. Today I am starting out with Phase I TEWERO : The Challenge. 30 days of shorter, but challenging workouts to boost my metabolism. I will do my first exercise later on today. I will post about it later.

... I am so happy that I feel better!!!... I missed you guys and working out!

    If I ever get my camera situation resolved, I am going to post a picture of our little rascal. I haven't forgotten, just ran into a problem that doesn't seem to be easily resolved. Can't believe she will be 2 in April.
