So yet another week has gone by and not enough blogging from me. What a WEEK. My brain is full! And yet, they continue to cram MORE and MORE COMPLICATED stuff into my head. But I can now say with confidence that the WorldMark by Wyndham Vacation Planning Call Center is worth sitting on hold for, since we have WAY more options to help you get into wherever you're trying for than you do online. If it's straightforward and available, by all means, book it yourself, and save yourself the time and hassle. But if you're struggling with availability or want to do some fancy split payment options, then give us a call, because I'm telling you, I've NEVER seen a company as invested in customer service through investing in employee training in my entire life.
At any rate, in other news, my friends continue to struggle now that he is home from the hospital after his stroke. It would appear that his mental "filter" for impulse control will require a little more time to come back online full-time. So drama yesterday led to an argument and calling the police and an ambulance while convincing our daughter to get the kids out of the house and rushing over there to head out for another trip to the emergency room, which at least produced a lull in the action long enough to have a serious chat with them both about the situation in general, about his impulse control, about her feeling overwhelmed, about our daughter's safety and stress levels... and we were able to get the social worker more involved and they're sending more reinforcements out to the house for at least an assessment period. We'll see. SIGH.
Today, I have my daughter's friend and her fiance coming to taste four varieties of wedding cake in about an hour, and then we're heading to a friend's house for some superbowl fun. Mostly I'm hoping we can hang out and enjoy each other without a lot of yelling and carrying on, a) I have a headache from a whipped cream vodka and sugar free rootbeer float last night on not enough food, and b) neither of the teams playing are anyone we give a crap about, and I haven't had a chance to see these friends for awhile.
