February challenge

Sunday, February 03, 2013

Now that I've met my wheat free and sugar free goals for almost a month, I need to push myself to the next challenge - 1700-1800 calories a day 6 days a week. Yikes! Gulp! Guffaw! I must admit my self doubt. It's been hard enough to stay below 2000 calories a day. However, I've done it for 14 of the past 17 days. It would be a super breakthrough if I could keep rolling like that! Especially since I went just over 2000 the past 2 days in a row. Before I let myself slide into a careless streak of ” I may as well wait until I'm more highly motivated”, here I go declaring that the amount of motivation I have or don't doesn't make a difference. What will really make a difference is not overeating, even if the cheese and salad dressing I'm overeating are wheat free and sugar free and a delicious distraction from wheat and sugar. emoticon
Anybody else going for a breakthrough this week, by any chance?

I'm just trying to get back on track this week with diet and exercise having wobbled a little with food and prevented by illness from exercise. I'm shaky but determined to do something each day to bring me back to normal...

Great work, Sharon!

I made a challenge - and even started a team - to try something new every week this year. Many have to do with trying new foods or exercises. Good luck to you. emoticon

I am trying to get my 10,000 steps in most days and just missed my 70,000 for the week by less than 500! Going to do better this week and make that goal.
emoticon on staying wheat and sugar free! I did good until just before Christmas and now can't get motivated again! It shows too, not losing any more weight!!!! So now Feb is my month to recommit to my diet and see if I can lose another 5 lbs this month.

My 'breakthrough' attempt this week will be to eat fewer calories than I have been.

I am on Day 3 and I have walked 2.25 miles walking in Home Depot. They do not mind and it was interesting and their concrete floors make my Pedometer keeps better track. Rugs and cushioned floors are less accurate. I am hoping to do this challenge and get myself a FIT BIT Hugs Pat in Maine. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
