Restaurant Nightmare

Sunday, February 03, 2013

Day two end was approaching. My husband gets a call from our friends asking us out to dinner. I could not say no, afterall, my husband is deploying in three weeks and he wants to spend time with friends and family. We show up at the restaurant and I stumble through the menu looking for something I could feel good about eating. I end up ordering the oven roasted chicken with steamed veggies and a house salad. I went easy on the light ranch on my salad since there was come cheese and eggs on the salad already! So it seems I survived the nightmare of eating out, even avoiding the sweet dinner rolls they brought out as we were seated and the Blooming Onion my friends ordered. Although I stayed strong, it was hard...very hard.

Good for you sticking to your healthy choices.

I know it's HARD, if it was easy,we'd all be 135 lbs and obesity wouldn't be an epidemic.

Keep up the good, hard work!

Great decisions! Eating out is one of my hardest things, I always figure if I'm eating out I should have something I can't make myself, which is always the unhealthy stuff! Trying to fix that part of my brain now... :-)

    Keep up the good work!
