This Green Smoothie is very refreshing and makes a great breakfast!!! - Happy Hen

1 Orange - Peeled and seeded
1 Cup Ice Water
1 medium Banana - Fresh or Frozen
1/2 Cup Frozen Rhubarb - Sliced
3 large Strawberries - or to equal a handful
1 TBS Flaxseed oil
Blend first three ingredients until completely smooth with no spinach bits.
Then add the fruit, pulsing between each one for easier blending, then add the flaxseed oil and blend well.

Makes 3.5 Cups

Thank you. I won't add raw rubarb as it is too tart for me and I am a bit worried about the oxalic acid in it. I just Krill oil instead of fish oil so I won't add the flaxseeds but for the rest I often use those ingredients together. I just freeze my over ripe bananas and use those instead of ice water. Also I just mostly frozen berries in my smoothies. I am glad that you dont add agave or or syrups because I think that is an overkill of a really good smoothie. Thanks for sharing.
