My fitbit called me lazy.

Your fitbit can send messages. Mine sent me a message that said Step it up Bonnie! My interpretation of this is your lazy, get moving. To tell you the truth I don't even know why I wear the thing. I haven't been moving very much this week. I hurt my back and today I am in real pain. I must have slept wrong. So much for having a select number bed and supposedly waking up pain free. They are crap, but I digress. I see the Dr. tomorrow, and I will make an appointment with Dr. Broisman also.

My routine this week will be:

1. Stay within SP ranges except for Tuesday. I am taking my Mom out for her birthday. She wants to go to Hometown Buffet.
2. aquatic center if cleared for my back.
3. appointments almost everyday

Of course the fitbit report reflects the fact that I hurt my back.

I don't use the food log over there. Even though it syncs with SP the calories are different. I don't get it, so I go by SP. This is what has to say.

Well, there you are the whole truth and nothing but the sad, pathetic, disgusting truth.

These numbers will improve, when, is the question. I don't know what the Dr. will say tomorrow or if I will even see the Dr. I may see the PA and just get sent for X-rays or an MRI appointment may be made. I am making an appointment with Dr. B who is my PCP, see if he might order PT for the numbness in my feet. I don't know why Dr.'s can't work together but that is the medical profession for you. I guess they want to spread the wealth around to their colleagues.

I hope everyone has a great month and a great week. Have you made your goals for the month yet? I am going to wait and see what the outcome of the Dr. appointments are before I do.

    You are not "lazy" but "injured". Take care of yourself and tell that Fitbit to take a hike.

    Take care. I hope everything goes well at the doctor. You must have a bully fitbit. Mine is encouraging and never calls me lazy, even when I don't hit my steps....

    That's good to know about the Fitbit (ultra) - I think I might take the little round one (zip or zippy or something) and trade it in for the new one once it becomes available. I've seen some advance ordering but limited colors.

    Definitely better to take care of yourself, last thing you want is to make your back worse. I hope the doctor can give some relief.

    I sure hope you can get some relief for your back. I twisted "funny" last week and pulled a muscle, only two days of pain (I was fortunate) but it really made me feel empathy for those who have chronic back pain or hurt it much worse than what I did. Wouldn't wish that on anyone!

On another note, aside from Fitbit telling you that you are lazy (not) - do you like it? And which one do you have? My husband got me the little round one - it doesn't do much other than monitor activity. The next level up even monitors your sleep (I've heard) and I've been thinking about whether I should keep or trade up or into a different type completely (like BodyMedia)

    It's better to take it easy and allow yourself time to heal, than to push it and end up hurting yourself even more and being out of commission for months!

    emoticon I won't repeat what I said out loud when I read the title of your blog.
I know...and YOU know that you are NOT lazy. You hurt your back and you are in pain. That is not being lazy. When you are able to, we both know that you will more than make up for an "off" week.
