my goals for February a@i challenge blog wk.1

my goals have changed now i have decided i am happy with my body as i am. i am over weight i know that. so do`s my doc. but because i cannot exercise like most people i ind it hard to lose weight anyway. i lost 3 stone when i started with spark 5 years ago i got out of the obese category which i was so pleased about that and now i have reached another milestone in my life i have reached the menopause, as long as i do not put any weight on i will be very happy do`nt get me wrong i am not giving up i will continue on my journey making healthily choices and doing as much exercise as i am able any weight loss is a bonus

    I think it's great that you are happy with your body the way it is and realizing that it's hard for you to lose weight since you are unable to exercise like most everyone else. I'm glad to hear that you'll still stay here on SP and that you are going to do your best to not gain weight! We would miss you if you left! You are smart to readjust your goals based on your body and your needs! emoticon emoticon

    Great job understanding that in the dog world no one judges. I told the Drs you cannot make a BRITISH BULLDOG in to a GREYHOUND. I come from stocky British heritage and healthy family.

    When I was told to lose weight by my Dr. I was sent to a prestigious clinic and after showing my food diary and my history. This Dr told me to go home and learn to live with my body. I told him most emphatically I have no problem with my body and asked him to PLEASE send a note to my Dr and tell him to GET OFF MY BACK,
    I stayed that way till my Diabetes diagnosis which coincided with Menopause and so I had to make changes. I joined Spark. My goal has been to get to over weight.I am still struggling but I do feel better when i stick to my plan . HUGS Pat in Maine USA emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

    I think that's wonderful that your happy with your body as it is ... not many people are. Have you started having hot flashes now that you're menopausal? I was per-menopause when I was 40, and they were terrible so I took a prescription for a year. I became fully menopause when I was 45, and still have occasional hot flashes but not terrible.
