More tomorrow ...
I got some encouraging news about Jennifer. Her BP is back in the normal range and her blood count which was 8 (and they won't do surgery when it's that low) is now 10. Her heart rate is still elevated (was 139, now 104, needs to be between 60-80). She has been awake more and aware of what's happening. The doctor said if she continues to stabilize throughout today he will do the surgery tomorrow (Monday) morning. Keep praying for her and that the surgery will be done so she can begin properly healing.
We have no idea whether there is any permanent damage (paralysis, etc.) until she can be moved. I feel for her because she cannot perform any bodily functions on her own. Being unconscious with that problem is one thing, being awake I am sure is humiliating for a 44 year old woman. I'll just leave it at that ... you all know what I mean.
Her daughter brought some dry shampoo in to do her hair and was picking twigs, leaves and dirt clods out of her hair from the accident. She had a helmet on and can only imagine what might have happened if she wasn't wearing it.
