Step 3: Dump the Red Meat, Pork Products, and Alcohol

Okay! So I did a pretty good job with the no fast food challenge from Week 2. I stayed out of the drive-thru and I didn't eat any of the foods at my job. (I did go a bit overboard with the restaurant eating, though.) I'm going to continue on my detox by getting rid of red meat (beef and veal), pork products (pork sausage/pepperoni/etc.), and alcohol. I'm going to continue to stay away from caffeine, nicotine, and fast food this week. My primary focus, though, is getting off of the things listed above.

2/3/2013 - No red meat, pork, or alcohol...and I did it! I stayed away from caffeine and nicotine as well and didn't eat at any of the drive-thrus. Only problem is, I started eating at my job again, which isn't good.
2/4/2013 - OOPS (Beef)!... Earlier: So far, so good. I'm noticing that I don't really miss the things I say I can't have because I'm eating ridiculous portions of everything else. It might behoove me to change the challenge for the next couple of weeks. I can continue to detox or I can practice true portion control. I'll finish this week and then I'll revise my program.
UH OH! I completely messed up. For dinner tonight, I ate some beef without even thinking about it. I only realized afterward. No alcohol or pork, though.
2/5/2013 - OOPS AGAIN (Beef)! I ate well during the day and then had a steak taco with dinner. I need to wear a rubber band or something to remind me of my commitment. I didn't have any caffeine, nicotine, or fast food, though. I also didn't have any pork products or alcohol, so I'm good there.
2/6/13 - Today was a long day for work, but I stuck to the no red meat, pork, or alcohol. I did eat at Taco Bell for dinner, though. No caffeine or nicotine, though.
2/7/13 - No red meat, pork, or alcohol...YAY! I didn't have any caffeine (I drank a decaf latte) or nicotine, either. I can't say I didn't have any fast food because I ate where I work today. I'm backsliding on the things I got rid of during Weeks 1 and 2. I think I feel like because they're not the focus, I can "fudge" on them a bit. I also feel like I can eat outsized portions of any of the other foods at any time of the day because I'm generally dissatisfied with my life right now. (That's really WRONG thinking, by the way, but I've been thinking like this for years now.)
2/8/13 - No red meat, pork, or alcohol. (That I can remember.)
2/9/13 - No red meat, pork, or alcohol.
