Working On Me

January was a tough month. I have been sick for a good part of it. Three separate and very nasty colds and I haven’t been sick this many times in one season in I can’t remember how long. I was looking over my calendar and I was happy to see that I did get at least some fitness minutes in over the course of the month. And I am happy to say that it hasn’t been nearly as hard to get those Total Gym minutes on the upswing again as I thought it was going to be! When I exercised for the first time after moving up one level I only managed to do it for 31 minutes. This was because I could NOT get nearly as many reps as I had been able to. Anywhere from 30 at the least to 50 went plummeting to 10s and 20s. Tonight when I was finished I looked at my time and it was up to 52 minutes again! Yippee!! The reps are moving up, at a fairly quick rate, I’m in the 20s and 30s for the most part again and all my leg exercises are at 40. I will keep pushing those numbers up to the ones I was at when I was at Level 1. I’ll stop there and work on my stamina until I am ready to move up to the next level. Guess I’m stronger than I thought. But I am not eating at all well, I’m up about 3 pounds and I need to get that back on track. Well, Lent begins in less than two weeks and I always give up sweets then so I should be able to get back into that habit at least, the holidays really messed me up this year! I think because I wasn’t still trying to actually lose weight I just let it get out of hand and I’m having trouble getting back to the frame of mind I was in for a long time. Hopefully I’ll get back there, when I make a promise to God I make a point of really trying not to break it! I am feeling better, and I am starting to take care of myself again.
Phil says we're gonna have an early spring! This makes me very, very happy. I'm not crazy about snow cuz that means snow duty and 12 hour work days makes me very sleepy.
