motivation is down

I'm not sure why, but I seem to be lacking in motivation lately. I have not been eating that well and I need to get back on track again. I did so well for so many months and then when I got sick early in January I started eating what I wanted. Now I'm having a hard time getting going again. My willpower is down and I have barely been exercising. I have scheduled a tai chi class for tomorrow and I went shopping tonight for a new yoga outfit. I am hoping that going back to the gym helps me to be more careful about what I am eating too. Any advice for getting back into full swing again would be helpful. Thanks for reading.

    I hope you're feeling better and that you can pick yourself back up and get back on track soon. I haven't been doing that good lately either, but I'm not going to give up. I want to get healthier and I have every intention of getting back in the game. I hope you will too soon. emoticon

    It is so common to want to nurture yourself with food when you get sick. You can realize that the fruits and veggies have vitamins to boost your immune system to fight off germs in the future. emoticon

    small steps one thing a day to turn it all back around Its weird that getting sick make us lazy with our health I'm in that slump right now just a cold but really does that mean I should eat Twizzlers ? strange Going to work on that today and do better than yesterday exercise no I not going to run or even lift but really I can take a walk around the block thanks for helping me stay motivated

You've had a very hard month-no wonder you aren't overflowing with motivation...I can only suggest small steps & to give yourself a huge pat on the back for not giving up.

    Be kind to yourself. Forgive yourself, and carry on. We all have challenges, but the important thing is how you react to it. The fact that you are back on Spark, asking for advice... not THAT is wonderful! If you need a partner, let me know. We can inspire each other! emoticon

  getting sick can really put a strain on all your systems, including your desire to be healthy. as you get better, you will feel more like taking charge of things like exercising. sometimes it takes longer than you know.
