So you’re feeling too fat to be photographed . . .

A friend sent this to me (well, me and the rest of the Facebook world). It's a blog post on "MY Friend Theresa" a photography blog.
It's message is important: don't wait until you are the right weight to let your photo be taken. Sometimes, when we pass on, it is the only thing we leave behind so loved ones can have us around. I love looking at pictures of my dad. I am always fascinated to see pictures of my parents when they were younger than I am today. (My most solid memories of them are when they were in their late 40s early 50s. But they were teenagers and twentysomethings at one time too.)
She makes a great point: when people see your picture they see their daughter, wife, mom, friend. The do not see how fat you are. And if a high school chum see you for the first time in 20 years, they may think "My God she got fat." Yeah, well, so what? It's true. You did.
Don't like it? Move along, then.
