Sewing Time

Saturday, February 02, 2013

Finally took a little me time and went to my basic sewing class at Joann's Fabric store today. Oh the possibilities of the clothes I can create. I still have yet o purchase my machine. Based on the recommendation of instructor and one of co-workers, I'm going with a nice Brothers model that also embroiders. Not too fancy, not too expensive, good to get me started. One thing I noticed today, this was the first time I sat in front of a machine in years, I'm now in a bifocal, so I better get my eyes checked for this yer. The teacher said I kept a straight line!

So glad the groundhog didn't see its shadow today, so hopefully spring will come soon! Tomorrow is the Superbowl, I'm going to church and maybe go fabric shopping. I think I can squeeze in a skirt class while I am off, learn how to make a zipper and all. Then I really will feel like I accomplished something!

emoticon I used to love sewing, I don't do it as often as I used to but I do it once in a while. You'll love it and can make unique things unlike everyone elses!
