A POEM I WROTE IN 1995

I posted this on my teams but I have friends who do not belong to any of the teams I belong to. I wished to share this with all.
The mountains of brass do surround us,
As trials are pressing our way.
And it seems all is vain,
When our heart is in pain,
And we try, how we try to pray.
But in the midst is a valley,
Where Christ has placed us awhile,
Where we learn to rely,
And to God we do cry,
Till the tears are replaced by a smile.
He teaches us most in the valley,
The things that we need to be strong,
He leads through the fire,
Tho it's not our desire,
But he never, no never leads wrong.
