THE BEGINNING: DH AND I ARE RENEWING OUR VOWS!!!

Saturday, February 02, 2013

So today we buried my DH's 73 yr old father. He smoked his entire life and that finally caught up with him. DH is doing as well as can be expected, but of course, will have to go THROUGH, as we all must at some points and times in our lives.

While lying in bed, I showed DH another SP member's page and her inspirational before and after photos of her 70 lb weight loss. DH then said ......"I want to do this thing with you...if it's your passion, I want it to be mine also." So, tomorrow is Day 1 of OUR weight loss journey together. Not just mine, but OURS.

Although life is extremely busy for most of us, I will try to blog each day about our ups, as well as our downs, just so that you can all follow us on this journey. We are determined to age beautifully and gracefully, TOGETHER!!!

We are asking for all cheers and prayers as we Journey together, beginning in the month that we celebrate our 23rd wedding anniversary (next week). This will be our vow renewal.......we are vowing to grow older and older together, in the healthiest fashion possible.

Keep sparking and thanks in advance for all your support!!!!

Sending nothing but prayers and good vibes that you and hubby will be a dynamite duo. emoticon

My condolences to your DH for his loss. My Hubs lost one of his sisters to suicide last week. Grief is in the air. I send him warm hugs!! I hope the girls are doing well.

I am so sorry for your DH's loss. I come from a long line of smokers (I was the only one who never started) and lost both my sister and mother to lung cancer. Losing a parent is tough under any circumstances. What a wonderful way to renew your vows to one another, though; it has been HUGE for me that my DH joined me early on in the journey. Best wishes to you both, and happy (early) anniversary, you kids--we will be celebrating 33 years ourselves next month.
