So, I was reading some blogs here on Spark People and some people were talking about how the 17-day diet was good and working for them that I decided to check it out.
So I got the book and started reading and the author is very funny and caught my attention. All in all, it seems close to Atkins diet, but you start eating carbs after 17-days. So I went on reading about success stories of people that lost so much weight on the first 17 days and talking about it with my boyfriend.
In the end, I decided! Hey, I can live without carbs for 17 days! If it's gonna jump start my weight loss, I'm all in!!!! The appeal of the fast weight loss even got my love on board and he is gonna start it on Monday too!
I know I shouldn't be in a hurry to lose weight, but I am on a bet with people at work, and there are people that lost over 8% on the first month, while I stayed stuck. Sure, I was not doing anything to lose weight, but since I'm motivated to do this now, I wanna play catch up!!
And moreover, I want to feel sexier when my boyfriend comes over in March 28th. 53 days left!!!! I wanna do my best to lose as much as I can until then!!!
I lost 1.1 kg on the first day of doing the diet. Sure, maybe it's mostly water weight. But I'm still very glad and excited for it! I hope this loss sticks and that I keep losing more, even if it is not as much as they try to sell it!
Besides that, I also signed up for two 5k races in the beggining of March. Even though I know I'll mostly walk them, I'll try to train a bit to do better than the last few times I went to those!
Also signed up for the Done Girl challenge that's starting on February 17th! I missed being part of it, and I hope to stick to the end this time! I'm excited for it!!!
