Ocean Shores - Snowy Owls 2.1.13

Saturday, February 02, 2013

We headed to Damon Point at Ocean Shores in search of the snowy owls that winter there. We saw lots of owls and lots of owl photographers. And we discovered a beach that would be fun to visit again in the summer. After a little picnic in the car, we drove to the North Jetty and hung around to watch the sunset. It was a great day and we got in a LOT of walking!

Oh I miss Ocean Shores. Keith & I would go there on our days off all winter when we lived & worked in Auburn WA. We loved just walking the beach & eating at a restaurant called Alex's.

    Thanks for the memories

Sounds like a wonderful way to spend a day. Do you live in Oregon? I used to live in Salem about 20 years ago and some of the titles of your blogs, remind me of places I used to visit. I have lived in lots of different places so I could be wrong but just wondered. I loved walking in the areas around the state and spent a lot of time out of doors with my kids then.
