What happened? How do I get going again?

Saturday, February 02, 2013

So I'm going to start by saying that for the most part I am really ok that I haven't been gaining or losing weight. However it's been about 2 months since I've really lost anything. I'm happy that over the holiday I didn't post a gain and since then I haven't either. But it's getting kind of frustrating that I'm working my butt off working out (and yes before you ask I know I'm eating enough calories for how much i work out) but it's not showing. It's been a few weeks since I've taken measurements but I'm not feeling a difference like i had been. I need to find a way to really break though this plateau that I'm in.

Laura, Kal may be right, your body has adjusted to your routine. You need to zig just when your body is used to a zag!! :)

You will do it, you have come so far!

You'll get there! Seems like the majority rules when it comes to changing your routine. Time to fool your body! Have you ever seen where people reverse how they eat during the day? Eat the largest meal for breakfast and the smallest meal for dinner? Then, confuse your body by changing up the exercise routine. Keep on keeping on!

Plateaus can be the pits! emoticon ...:::I know it....been there. Done that. wouldn't wear the t-shirt though....LOL!
First of all, don't beat yourself up. You could be doing all the right things. Your body could be comfortable with your fitness & eating healthy routines and you just need to shake your routine up a bit. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
Keep tracking your cals...take a closer look at your daily fiber consumption...make sure you are getting well as other nutrition facts. Just in case. emoticon
Then take a look at your fitness routine....hae you been pushing too hard, do you need to build some slower endurance? I am only guessing here.

For instance, I might do a sweaty hour of Circuit training one day and the next I am jogging 3-5 miles..... I don't allow my body to "figure it out" LOL!! I kep her guessing

I hope this is helpful....I believe in you! ~ Laura emoticon

Laura, it's a SCIENCE. Seriously....check out PINKHOPE and her blogs and she has been :: close for so long and working her butt off - or trying and know what? She went to a trainer for people of "our age" and he COMPLETELY changed up her entire program and she lost may need a shakeup. You may also need a break of sorts. BIBO girl. You've got this and you don't need to stress about it cuz then it won't happen for you (cortisol). Love you!

Try cutting back on what you're eating a bit more.....or get a personal trainer for one or two sessions to change up your work out routine. They usually say when you plateau, you need to change things up a bit. Give your body a new challenge :) Good luck!
