My Favorite State of Consciousness

Saturday, February 02, 2013

When I am so concentrated on my activity that it perfectly absorbs my mind, I magically escape myself. I'm in the 'Now'. I am aware of nothing else. I am the polar opposite of 'self-aware', or self centered.

This is the Flow State, aka Mindfulness. or the 'Now'. I function at maximum effectiveness, my sense of the passing of time vanishes.

"Quick, somebody, gimme another pot to polish!"

Keeping busy is not the answer. Keeping busy is the question. Yes! is the answer.

Oooh! I loved this blog entry...not to mention the lovely photo. You make me want to head into the kitchen and do what needs to be done! Now you've got me wanting to see if I can get into that state of flow; it's always a rare - but wonderful! - condition for me :)
