Food Tracking Lessons!

Saturday, February 02, 2013

What has this week of food tracking taught me? I have learned that on my own I eat WAAAYYY more calories than I should to lose weight. I learned that in order to get healthy, I need to rethink my eating (I really didn't realize how bad it was!) I have also learned that weighing, measuring, and tracking my food is not as hard as I thought it would be AND it is worth it for the health I want to achieve! So, my new plan is to track all my food intake, keeping my calories between 1200-1400 and exercise a minimum 15 minutes daily. (There isn't any excuse to not squeeze in at least 15 on the busiest day!) I have already tracked my breakfast, have you?

I seem to be having such a rocky start to this new healthy lifestyle, but I am more determined than ever to reach my goals. I realize that I have a lot to learn along the way and my goals will not be reached overnight. I am in this for the long haul!

Knowledge is power! Sounds like some pretty profound lessons for you in one week! Tracking is an eye-opening experience which is why it's recommended. It always helps for accountability and to be held responsible for your food choices.

Good luck and keep up the great work. Your positivity is going to work wonders towards your successes....
