Don't Laugh, Time Travel is Possible!

Voted Popular Blog Post: View All Popular Posts

Saturday, February 02, 2013

Please, as you read this blog today, I only ask that you keep an open mind. I want you to remember that great scientists throughout time have been ridiculed for their discoveries and only after death have they been proven true.

Now, people may see the obvious genius in the work of my good Sparkbuddy Bill, aka ELYMWX. You can even read his most recent bog at

He has a difficult job engineering new technology, moving humanity into the future but my discoveries will allow people to do what has only been dreamed of, to travel back in time. I know you probably scoff or think I am delusional but let me explain.

Recently I have only been able to travel back a few months at a time but I sense of breakthrough will be coming and I will be able to travel back years into the past.

At the moment, this experiment in time travel only happens for brief moments. Each morning after rising and taking care of some daily chores, I wander into my sanctuary, my vault of solitude and step onto my time machine. Each day I have been traveling back in time. Today, I travelled to September 16, 2012. Yesterday it was September 14. It appears for brief moments I can go back in time to revisit the past.

This place of sanctuary is important because it seems that once I leave and share my discoveries, the three women of my house like to scoff at me, scoff as poor Galileo was once ridiculed.

Dad, they point out, "way to go, you are losing weight but that scale is not a time machine"

I try to differ, explaining that they are wrong. I have data. Each day over the last months and years I have taken the information that the scale has given and I have recorded it. And now, I am revisiting the past, seeing readings that were present in the past, evidence of time travel. I haven't recorded all my data but there are other moments in the day when time traveling occurs, I remember moments of long ago, walking, exercising, and even jogging and they are happening again.

Just you watch, tomorrow I will be revisiting another day in the past and this will continue. Best of all, in a few months I will make a breakthrough and will be going back decades in time. Yes, you may all scoff at me but just you wait. This summer when I step on the scale and hit my goal weight, it will be like traveling back 30 years, and while some of you may have decided to join me, others will be on the sidelines wishing you hadn't scoffed and ridiculed.

Just a warning. Time travel is possible

Fantastic blog! I've never thought of being a weight I once was as "traveling back in time"!

Just be careful with the whole space/time continuum thing. We don't want to lose a great mind like yours to a freak accident. You are too valuable to our scientific advancement.

I too have gone back in time, to when my BP was lower, as well as my lipids and weight. I have about 10lbs to lose, and I'm stuck for now, but I will do this!
My husband recently went back in time when he returned from an Australian trip. He re-lived the smae day :) Crossed the time line, big time.
Fun blog! And thanks for the Goodie!

WOW! I was having a bad day. Not now. I'll be traveling with you; back in time, to a day when my heart and body were lighter. Thank you for the ticket and the smile. I needed both desperately.

What a fun read. Nicely put and very creative! It made me smile and that is really great when you can make someone you have never met before smile.

I am healthier and more fit now than I have ever been, that includes high school, so for me it's a bit different perspective as I feel like I am creating a totally new future, unlike anything I remember in the past. More of a letting go.

Blessings to you on your time travel journey. My motto is "making the impossible possible", so you have my full support and attention as you continue forward and back at the same time. emoticon

I Believe You About Time Travel. I've Never Gone Back In Time, But I Do Think It's Very Possible! Because Back In The Early 1980s, I Think I Was Visited By Someone From The Past! It Was A Man Dressed In Clothes From The 17 Or 1800s! He Tried To Communicate With Me But I Couldn't Understand Him!

Don't Let Anyone Ever Tell You There's No Such Thing As Time Travel! You And I Know Different! And It Really Doesn't Matter What Other People Think! It's What You Believe In Your Heart!

And And Far As You Losing Weight! I Have Faith That You Will Reach All Your Weight Goals. Just Keep The Faith!

You are obviously thinking "out of the box" when you get into Fortress of Solitude. You move backwards in time in a different manner than Superman, but that's just a technical thing.

I enjoyed your blog. Keep on visiting the days of yesteryear.

My Doc doesn't want me to back farther then 1980 and doesn't want me to get into the BMI zone for my height. I need the extra packaging in case I'm hospitalized.

This is one of the best blogs I have read!! How funny and imaginative! And what a way to put a spin on weight loss!! When I get to my goal weight I will have to travel back 41 years!! I was in 7th grade! Oh the memories! And I still have a friendship with someone from that era in my life to share it with!

This time travel thing is real - your family should listen to you. Last week at work I was asked about my goal weight - I told them a total of 40 pounds, back to where I was in high school and college. Oh, to be that size with the accumulated wisdom of age! That would be the best of both worlds! Keep up your good work. It sounds as though you must have a lot of company.

It's great that you wrote about this topic. Always go with your instincts. After all, your blog was a 'Feature Blog' so you must be very persuasive!

Can we go back to what we thought was fat back then but now would be trim?
