I am very happy to start this month off by saying that I accomplished all of last month's goals! That's never happened to me before! WOOHOO!! Now for this month....
1. Make an effort to be more tidy: Since Luna was born I have had the habit of letting things go. I get so wrapped up in caring for her that I just kind of let things...pile up. However, I'm thinking that's probably not good plus I don't want to set the example for Luna that it's OK for things to be messy all of the time. Thankfully she has no idea what it means to clean up her own mess yet
2. Make it through the Samba portion of the Zumba Tone video: Every time I reach this segment of the video I either do the first minute or so of it then stop, or stop altogether. I want to be able to make it through it and not be afraid of it. It's not that I feel as though I can't do it, I KNOW I can, but since it's VERY fast paced and I'm unsure of the steps, it intimidates me. This month I'm going to make it a point to do as much as I can, every time I reach it.
3. Lose at least 5 lbs: Even though I had this goal last month, I'm going to keep it this month too, especially since I now know that it's possible to achieve. And I have to be honest here, last month I worked out 6 days a week for the first 2.5 weeks of January. Then it was 3x a week the next week and once the following. I still lost weight, but not as much as I know I could have if I had kept the momentum going. I think I might have just taken on too much at once and burnt myself out. I'm also testing out something I read recently that said studies have shown that people who do cardio for 10 minutes then take a break for a few minutes and do another 10 minutes of cardio burned more calories than those who did a solid 20 or 30 minutes of cardio. Has anyone ever heard of this?
Well, that's all I've got thus far; pretty easy to accomplish I think
I can't wait until the end of this month so I can see the progress I'm about to make!
