This was my first-ever challenge on SP. I joined it via the sparkblog entry that I read while getting my sparkpoints. I had never been interested in trying any of the videos offered here on SP, but the challenge gave us 6 videos to do per week, repeating them for 4 weeks. It also asked that we do at least 30 minutes of cardio per day.
What I learned from this challenge:
SP vids rock.
Coach Nicole rocks.
It's okay to yell "I hate you" at the computer screen if you know you don't really mean it and Coach Nicole can't hear you.
Hooping counts as cardio.
I need to remove breakable objects from my work-out area.
Muscles respond to 7-10 minute work-outs, they really do.
Sometimes muscles don't want to respond the next morning.
If others see you dedicated and CHANGING, they want to join you.
Trust the process.
What I won:
I lost 5 lbs and gained muscle tone in January!
Hubby started doing the videos with me starting in week 3.
Daughter picked up my hoops and started hooping every other day this week.
They did this without me proding, pleading, or promoting at all.
Now, I'm eyeing the 28-day Bootcamp challenge to do for my February.
I don't really hate Coach Nicole.
