Day One

Saturday, February 02, 2013

So one day conquered and a lifetime left to go. The day went by without incident and surprisingly I wasn't hungry eating just a third of my usual consumption ;) Right next to my work area, fundraisers were having a bake sale, which doesn't excite me because I'm not big on sweets but my heart fluttered hearing they were selling boiled peanuts. Cruel, cruel world...you must flaunt boiled peanuts in front of me when I have to be accountable for my actions and calorie intake!!!

I drank an extra bottle or two of water and grumped about as I ate some raw veggies instead...and spent the next two hours peeing out all that water! But the important part in this is - I stuck to the plan. Sure it's only day one, but it finished my day off with an exclamation point!

Thank you Cindy! Small strides but still huge leaps any day I stick with it. In the past, I have gone to extremes and that proved to not be ineffective. What I can handle for the long haul is making smart choices and to cut back on portioning.

Congrats! When I fall off the wagon, I always start by drinking water.

Good job!! Learning new behaviors is rough. I am a month in and find that eating right had given me more energy. Breakfast has made a big big impact in my life. A simple 1/2 pb sandwich and banana makes all the difference. It's not an easy walk but it is doable. Just keep going when you stumble. Don't beat yourself up when it didn't go as planned. Just keep going. Give yourself credit for all the non food accomplishments too.

Need someone to hold your hand I am always available, just gimme a holler.

    Cindy.
