Three and a half years later...February 2, 2013

Wow. I read my last blog entry this morning and can't believe it. I actually thought then that I could concentrate on me! Well, I'm here to tell you that it didn't happen then - but it is happening now.
The happy news is that after many treatments and a roller coaster ride of surgery anticipation and then finding out his tumor was inoperable and then more treatments, my husband is cancer free. We are looking forward to the "Celebration of Life" next year to mark is fifth anniversary cancer-free. He now dedicates his time to helping people who have received the devastating diagnosis of lung cancer. He is a wonderful person and I am truly blessed in many ways.
So now it really is my turn. I found my "spark" again! Over the last several months I have lost 36 lbs! We are putting into practice all the things we learned from the nutritionists and naturopaths who helped my husband along in his treatment. We are "walking the walk" as we try to inspire others along in their journeys.
I'm glad to be back!

What a blessing you have had. Sometimes those come from the hardest places. Walk that walk. There are many out there that need an encouraging word or a hand holding.

My husband had kidney cancer in 03 so I have a simular story. I know the emotional roller coater it puts you on. Good luck in your journey. Many Blessings.
