Fibromylagia and Paintball

Saturday, February 02, 2013

February 1st, i took the lunge of going with my husband , brother in law and a group of friends paintball. I guess i could call it Pain balling . It was 2 and half hours long we could do it, i stayed for almost 2 hours, then i had enough, point is i did do it , and i listened to my fibromylagia to stop, the rest went on to the end, i still had some balls left in paintball gun so i gave it to one of our friends that finished his and was about to stop because he didn't want to get anymore. It was fun, i do have alot of red spots from where i have been hit, if anyone has done paintball you know it isn't a sport for the faint hearted, or someone who is scared to have some pain, but supringly it felt like i was just having a flare up, so i walked it off afterwards, the others thought i was tough doing that, not all of them know that i have this condition though, there was a few limps on our team, we were team black, since we all wore the black overalls. There were also bunny suits and nun / priests outfits but those are more for the bachelor/bachelorette groups. It was a fun time, its a good thing we don't do it too often , that i couldn't do. But it was my first time doing it since i knew i had Fibromylagia and not much worse than a flare up day, i think i did rather good, despite having atleast 10 places in my body from these red spots that will turn into bruises eventually.

I'm glad it didn't cause a flare up! Or not a bad one anyway. I've never been brave enough for paintball.

I am so glad that you went out and did that. Hard fun, I call it! Treasure those bruises. They show how strong you are!

That's wonderful that you were able to stay in there almost to the end! I don't have Fibro, and I am not sure I could do that! Congrats on sticking with it, having fun, and knowing that the pain will pass, as will the bruises emoticon
