Jan was a wonderful month for setting and meeting goals.
My #1 weight loss goal was to exersize every day. I did that!
My#2 goal was to be more aware of my hunger and fullness cues : I'm doing so much better, I suspect it will take longer than 1 month for it to become 2nd nature.
Somewhere along the way I started recording my mileage-It was just shy of 30 miles in Jan (8th-31st)
Sparkpeople has motivated me to drink LOTS and LOTs of water. When I joined I wasn't really planning to be "all-in" I thought I might use it to log my exersize and read motivational stories. Well... I'm hooked!
Everyone is supportive and it is so encouraging to make small goals, have success and build on them!
I also wanted to say some about the FitBit... I did my daily activities not expecting to get anywhere NEAR the 10,000 steps. I am surprised.. without doing anything extra I got pretty close. It was easy to push on to goal by parking further from the stores (2) and making that extra trip upstairs instead of having the kids fetch this or that. I'm not sure how the sleep monitoring works-I'm going to read up on that. I was SHOCKED that I woke up SIXTEEN TIMES!-and happy that it took me only 4 minutes to go to sleep-also got the 8 hours.
One last update and then some relaxation before bed... The tricycle has been in my thoughts, I want to take be sure I find one that is 'just right' . I 've been investigating which tracks/trails will allow bikes, how level they are ect ect. They do make a folding adult tricycle! As far as the look goes I'm loving the (non-folding)Schwinn Meridian-in red. As far as transporting & storage the Port O Trike seems nice. Meanwhile I'm keeping my eyes open for a great deal. The intention is to have this as a reward-BUT if the price is right....
