I bought fish

Friday, February 01, 2013

Went to the grocery store after work and picked up some romaine lettuce, green beans, apples and some tilapia fish. Now I do not like fish, but I know it is good for me and I figure if Jesus grilled it on the beach for his disciples for breakfast then I should at least consider it. A friend of mine posted a southwestern tilapia recipe and I'm going to try it. It looks spicy so I think I might actually like it, but just plain broiled or baked fish with lemon gags me. :( I think I will also check out SP recipes as well.

My mail carrier brought my DVD for my Total Gym today. Right on time too, since today is Day 1 of the 28 Day Boot Camp challenge. I am planning on using it for the strenghth training portion of the challenge. It's called Boomers on the Move - Rewind. It's a "beginner workout for aging adults new to fitness or returning to exercise." "Age-related physical changes can affect mobility, stability and strength." Now I do not think of myself as aging - my mind just doesn't go there - but I will be 57 in a few months and since I'm over 100 pounds overweight, I think this DVD will be good for me.

Looking forward to a productive weekend where I can work toward my goals.

I wish you all a productive weekend as well. emoticon

Tilipia is Jesus's fish. My husband loves to just pan fry it with 1T of olive oil and make tacos. I like it pan fried with corn meal and paprika.

I hope you will become a fish lover or at less liker.

I love fish....as long as it is a "white" meat fish like swordfish, rainbow trout, Alaskan white fish or something like that. I don't care for salmon, tuna, or regular flounder.

The DVD workout sounds like something I need, and I am only 48!

I feel the same about fish. It's not my favorite, but it's good for me. I baked some salmon in the oven the other day for the first time, and it came out so good! Go ahead and try some fish recipes! I'm sure you'll find some you like.

I love fish... except for salmon anyway. It's so versatile. Try it with salsa and a bit of cheese or marinara sauce and provolone.. yummy. Fish tacos aren't too bad either. Like I said... versatile. Keep trying new recipes till you find several you really like.
