Struggling with going to the gym

My daughter and I joined a gym together .. she is 16 and I told her today that since she didn't clean her room this week then we weren't going to the gym today .. She really enjoys it and I made it clear that I was doing this because she has had all week to organize her room

Being honest with myself .. I really didn't want to go anyway and used this as an excuse..

I will go tomorrow because I am adamant about meeting my weekly fitness minutes goal .. I just get disappointed in my willingness to give in to those .. "I don't want to's"

    LOL it's a little of both .. once I have finished tho it feels good .. I have always hated exercise so this is a very new and hard habit for me to gain.

    Do you not want to work in fitness minutes or do you really just not want to do it at the gym? Personally I'd rather work out at home, but that's just me. Dee's right, about the time needed to form a habit.

    LOL no her room is still a mess but I did take away her keyboards and mice so she can't do any computers until its done!

    As far as the gym you are right Dalid .. I am at least bound bent and determined to make my 180 minute goal every week .. and I am looking forward to that habit kicking in :) This is my last day and I have 45 minutes to meet that goal so after 30 minutes of fat burning exercise I will do 15 minutes of strength training :) Thanks for the comments!

    It takes 3 weeks to form a habit (good or bad), push yourself to go for 3 weeks (not daily) and see if it sticks.
