I did this challenge three years ago and I had success so I am doing it again. It is the diabetes 8 week challenge I am doing the first 4 weeks and hopefully go on to the longer workouts as the weather improves.
Today all of my food was in range.
I have almost 10.000 steps I am not in bed yet but I do have 9,089 steps best this year I think.
I did 15 minutes strength training, then 30 minutes on Gazelle. Then I went upstairs to DH he had done his PT and we looked outside to No snow around the house and a DRY driveway.
DH wanted to check out the RV so we got down the steps-
got across the driveway to the RV and DH had to really figure out how to get up the high high step.
He did it. Then he turned on the generator and checked thing out like water leaks or any weather problems. So far so good.
We went back indoors and I called in a prescription. I told DH I was going out and he decided to come that was great. I went out for produce. DH sat in the van and listened to music.
We drove home past McDonalds and I asked if he wanted a coffee. I went in for it and bought myself a salad and DH a coffee and 2 pies an apple and a cherry. We drove home and all was well. DH sat and iced his leg and ate his snack.
Dinner was good for us it was Flounder, Carrots, Peas, Brussels Sprouts with caramelized onions and I added 2 slices of ready cooked bacon to give it a lift but not much fat. DH cleaned his plate. He had little appetite till tonight. I think getting outside made the difference.
I went back to sparking and walked with Leslie so today I had 75 minutes fitness ---much better. I like what I have chosen and I needed a plan to follow. It is printed and colour coded to make it easier to follow.
I have posted in the message boards on a thread I have shared with another Spark Friend for the last three years.
Other great friends have been made on that thread but she and I are the only starters left there from that far back. She started it after the Spark was a best seller and that was when I found the book and went to the site. She helped me along the way and some time soon we will meet.
On to Day 2 and to BED earlier again.
