Day 5...

So I helped judged the SkillsUSA comp. at school today. Fun as always. I love Chef, but he is a spaz when it comes to organizing!!! Some of the rule/guidelines weren't clear, people (aka, me) being asked to do 12 things at once when physically not possible, and just too many students. I know its a regional, but really, does one school need 8 competitors?! There should be a limit of 3 students per school, I think, to make things a bit easier. It was sooo tight/congested, it just wasn't fair to the students. But, what can I do. He's in charge and doesn't really listen to anyone.

As for today, pretty good overall. I didn't get my green smoothie for breakfast (didn't want to wake the hubby). I also figured I'd have plenty of calories with tasting 23 plates!! So I just grabbed a Fiber1Bar on the way in at 6am. Thankfully, chef did change the judging up so we only tasted our 'group' of 8 students. That worked well. So lunch was chix/mashpot/veg/sauce. I thought I did fairly well, with all the stuff to eat. They ordered pizza for the judges too, and I declined, although it (and the pasty room) smelled delicious.

So, after the competition, I went up and met Chef Drew at the hotel. He said the only key position they really have open is for a banquet chef. I'm catering right now, so I'm not sure if that's what I really want. We'll see. I'm supposed to meet with their Head BChef next week sometime. Oh, and I have an interview with another chef on Monday for a new restaurant.

Come home, walked the dog. Definitley need to get wind pants!!! I could/would have liked to go longer (25mins), but my legs were freezing/hurting from the wind. Then just chilled for the rest of the night, with burgers for dinner!

Appearntly I'm over the range of calories burned that I thought I would be. So I had to adjust that, which then upped my calorie intake. How do I add those extra calories, but with decent food, without eating ALL day?! I'll figure it out. And that was with only doing 4 days of cardio and 1 dogwalking (that I logged, she's walked everyday).
