Why hello February...

Friday, February 01, 2013

Well me and January had our fair share of ups and downs...can't say it was all bad....

My January goals were...

~ See my nutritionist.
~ Try a strength training video
~ run for a minimum of 30 minutes three days a week
~ Attend Zumba at least once a week
~ Try the new step class offered at the gym
~ Get my eating under control
~ Lose a minimum of 5 pounds ....

And how did I do?

-Saw my nutritionist (twice actually)
-whoops, might've forgotten a strength training video
-running, huh, that's what I was supposed to be doing...yea, I'll work on that this month...
-zumba? I am a zumba master! I went three times a week! (Minus this week because the weather is so nasty)
-step class, you ask? Well, I am the not so efficient stepper, but I went maybe three times this month, as that was all it was offered..
-eating, well I thought I did good, but lets face it, after my nutritionist, I realized I did most of this month backwards...

This months totals....

Weight is down 4.4 pounds (yay)

Which is really good since I didn't realize that most of what I ate this month was sugar....

Which is also a most excellent way to end a very crappy day....I had to go to work and be in at I clean my car off, then my mom cleans my car off within an hour...we had plenty of snow, up to my knees at I go down the driveway, check for the nonexistent traffic, push the gas, and boom, I'm car compacted all the snow in my driveway underneath it so I was literally above it...I could clean off under my wheels and they weren't touching the after some major engineering from my mom, I managed to get out of the driveway...the road was a complete whiteout over drafted with snow, so who knows where the ditches were..I just stayed where I thought the middle this point, I was literally crying my eyes out, and had to tell myself to stop because I couldn't see the road, it was near white out conditions, and my vision was blurry....finally made it to school, late, but in one piece.....had to drive home in the same conditions...called home and apparently my dad barely made it up the hill in four wheel my poor little car is having a slumber party with my grandma as my dad came and got me to take me home.....on a side note, I think while I got stuck in the snow and ice chunks, I may have ripped a hole in my antifreeze line because neon yellow is leaking from the front of my car...yay, something else to fix...

So Mr. Woodchuck, I know that it's not my choice on what you decide to see, quite frankly, I don't blame you for running back into your hole while hundreds of onlookers ooh and aah over you with cameras flashing and some weird dude holding it's up to you, but, if we have snow, can we make sure it is the pretty snow that falls in the sunlight, where the plows are always plowing and sanding the road, where schools close if the weather looks like blizzard conditions, the wind softly blows the snowflakes so they dance along the air, where you come out into the peaceful air, the snow crunches under your feet, the air crisp in your nose, and you smile because this is the winter that you love......I promise I do to need 60 degree weather in January, because I know it is January and I expect snow, I just wish it was a peaceful winter, not blizzards, lake effect, and white outs...

But I guess we will find out soon enough...

Hard to relate to those weather conditions. We never have them here in sunny South Georgia. The summers are the brutal time for us with temps over 100 on a regular basis and very tiresome gnats!
