I can't believe it's February already??? Where did January and all my determination go?
Oh, that's right... Out the window with my work trip and being sick for 2+ weeks... Seriously, nothing sucks more than thinking you'll enjoy the warm florida sunshine only to be brought to earth with coughing, sneezing, achy cold and sinus infection symptoms. Boo! Sigh, oh well. It's a new month and time to get back at it.
Now that the pity party is over (for now at least
) , its time to see where I could improve. And honestly, I think the biggest thing I need to work on is getting enough sleep. I used to be able to be up all hours of the night and still be fully functional. Yeah, that's not working out so well anymore.
I was exhausted today so I really need to focus on getting enough sleep and listening to my body tell me when it's tired. I tend to push myself to the breaking point (just one more tv show, a few more Facebook posts, etc) and then I'm so overtired that I can't fall asleep. So, I'm resolving to be in bed by 10:30 (cuz while 10 would ideal, I need to be realistic, especially since I'm used to being up to midnight or later). And that also means, not starting my nighttime routine at 10:30... I'm the queen of that too... Which then just takes away another 15-20 mins of precious sleep.
I'm also looking into CSAs today. I've been wanting to join one for the past two years but was always too late and they ran out of shares. I think it will be a good way for me to expand my veggie palate and get more good foods into me :) Nothing I hate more than food rotting and going to waste. Now to get my husband on board.... Any ideas?
Next up... Surviving the Super Bowl party on Sunday that we are hosting. If anyone has delicious healthy recipes, I'm all for it. I'd love to surprise my guests with foods they wouldn't expect to be healthy
