Out of sorts, waiting on word from Kenya

Friday, February 01, 2013

Lots of walking today. Jewels joined me for a mile early this morning. Then 1.8 miles on the bike trail after it warmed up. Then another half a mile with my dog and my sister's dog.

Have I mentioned that she is on her way to Kaugi Vilage, Kenya to begin work on building a medical center up on a mountain. Kaugi Village is right on the equator. 12 miles away from modern conveniences.

I don't know how much time they will have to blog while over there, but if you are interested in seeing how the medical center comes along, here's a link. They are supposed to post to a blog, but there's been no activity since 1/30, the day before they flew out of Tampa.

I'm hoping I'll have the e-mail sometime tonight that they made the trip from Heathrow to Kenya safely!!

I need to spend a little time being a responsible adult while I wait for word. My kitchen needs a good "putting everything in its place." Actually, it needs a general 27 fling boogie to make room to cook.

I'll probably fall asleep and miss the e-mail. I'm getting too old to pull an all-nighter. I didn't even stay awake for New Year's Eve. Pitiful!!
