Books, installment two

Friday, February 01, 2013

There is never enough room in our home for our books. We have a lot of them, and yes, each and every one of the books has been read by one or more members of the family. We do actually send books away to other homes every few years, but our core library remains the same, with some judicious (HA!) additions.

When I downsized, I had to pass over 1000 books to others. It was hard to give up having a library at my home.

I think I know what you mean. We have covered the floor between our bookshelves. I think it will be easier to get some more shelves, but my partner is moving on some of his reference books.

I thought when I started BookCrossing (www.bookcrossing.com), that I would at least be able to confine the books to the shelves. But what has happened is that my family and friends now give me books to 'do that leave books around thing' :)

Books are starting to take over another room, so they are definitely on the decluttering list.
