My February Goals - A&I Hugs Week 1

Exercise –My goal this month is to start and finish the Push Phase of CLX. We are getting a heavy bag and some boxing gloves so I will be doing some kickboxing this month and I know that will help burn calories and improve my overall fitness.




Continue trying to increase the number of standard push-ups and tricep push-ups on my toes.




Continue trying to increase the amount of weight I'm lifting. I want to try to increase by 1 pound once this month for each of the CLX exercises. I also want to really focus on my form, making sure I am doing my exercises correctly to get the full benefit of what I’m doing and to prevent injury.



Pictures – I’m not sure if I’ll take pictures after finishing the Push Phase or not. If I don’t feel like I’ve gotten anywhere with losing weight then I will not.



Water - Get in at least 6 (8 oz) glasses of water every day.



Food – My aim is to limit my carbs to 50 – 100 grams each day.



Freggies – Continue to get in at least 3 servings of freggies each day but work on getting in 4.



Work – Continue to work on our newest video game and get it done as soon as possible. I would really like to get it finished in the next few months.




Sleep - Continue trying to get in at least 8 hours of sleep to help get rid of the dark circles under my eyes.



Meditate - Meditate each night or at least 4 to 5 nights out of 7 nights per week before going to sleep. Doing this helps me to stop focusing on work and everything else. It helps me to clear my mind as well as relax me. I’m able to sleep better when I do.



Fun - Take time to do something other than work and working on the house. All work and no play makes for a grumpy and pissy Cathy. I need to allow myself to have some fun. Ideally, I’d like to take a couple of days per week to destress. I want to take one day to play video games and / or watch a couple of movies.




Cockatiels – Our cockatiels love to get on the ground and play in boxes. So, we decided to make them what we are calling “cockatiel kingdom”. We’ve have many boxes of different sizes that we are gluing or taping together and gluing colored card stock paper on for them. It will have different entry ways and bridges, etc… The entry ways will have doors on them that can be shut when the playing gets carried away. Our white cockatiel, Comet, gets carried with his playing and he ends up playing what I call, “The Evil Troll Under the Bridge” and chases his brother out of where they are suppose to be “playing”. emoticon Anyway, I'd like to finish it in the next several days. It's like and art project for my cockatiels. lol



I think that pretty much covers all of the bases. emoticon

    Great blog and a tremendous list of goals. I'm so out of shape, strength wise, that all I can do are wall pushups. The “cockatiel kingdom” sounds amazing ... kind of like the "galaxy" we had for Izzy & BeBop when they were little made out of 12-pack pop boxes. Hope you post a photo when it's built!     "Grumpy and pissy Cathy" - I laughed because I have been feeling exactly the same way, and the only way I wasn't complaining was to keep my mouth shut!

    WOW! I love your goals for this month! Gonna keep ya busy for sure! I can't manage more than 4 'manly' pushups. Maybe I should add that to my goals for the month, too. Do at least 6 'manly' pushups by the end of the month!
