HARBOR WALK

Friday, February 01, 2013

About two years ago I decided I wanted a place to meet my friends and place to meet new people. I wanted a place that wasn't FOCUSED On FOOD! It's typical that everyone will go to "Lunch" or "Dinner". Or even COFFEE!! "MEET YOU AT STARBUCKS". That's what happens when your friend call and says "LET"S MEET"!

I wanted something different. So my best friend and I looked around our area where we live and we found a beautiful harbor. It has lots of boats and docks and houses and water. It's a calm peaceful environment. We mapped out three paths - short (.5 miles) Medium (1.5 miles) and Long (2.3 miles).

On our walks we will often see little sting rays swimming, sometimes even baby sharks. We always run into people walking their dogs. What started with Just me and my best friend quickly grew to a team of 15 - 30 people.

It's a lot of fun. The FIRST SAT of every month. HARBOR 10am!!

Sometimes we sit around and chat afterwards. There are fountains outside (I should get some pictures those are nice too). Sometimes we'll all go to lunch or the movies.

But, for the most part..it's a chance to WALK and ENJOY the company of others!!

This is one of the pictures we took before the walk. Jan 2010!
