The thrift store

We have a little consignment store that opened about 3 months ago.
I breezed in a few times and found it filled with excellent items.
I had searched online for a winter coat with a hood that looked
dressy enough for church but not so radical that I would be asked
to leave. And I wanted something affordable.
I checked out the store yesterday and found a nice coat that had
a hood, zipped up and was low maintenance-just under $17.00
DS1 needed a new coat as he has one he wears to work and it
just doesn't cut it for church. Since I had looked at all the coats
yesterday, I told him to stop at the office. DH arrived about the
same time so I sent the "men" to go shopping. I described the one
coat that I felt would look great on him and was the right size.
About 10 minutes later, both came walking in and DS was wearing
the blue coat with the yellow stripe detail and yellow lining.
It fit him perfectly. Final price was $5.09 with tax. Now that
was a coat he could afford. The owner was selling coats at 20% off.
Guess I'll go back to check the inventory in the future before I
spend hours looking on line.
I felt this was a good lesson that would translate to SP. Look
around, find something that fits and what is even better, SP
is free. How's that for a bargain?
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend. HUGS!
