Roman Chair...:::back in b'ness!

Friday, February 01, 2013

Finally, emoticon the Roman Chair at my gym has been repaired, and I can put it to use! It has been on the fritz for 2 months...... a member lost one of the ball bearings. The owner thought it a small loss. emoticon

Not I! That lovely torture chair is my 1 true love! emoticon So, I am thrilled it is back in business! More Results...::More Progress! emoticon

In the opening pic, the athlete is strengthening her abs/hamstrings/glutes, but when you reverse your position...:::you get this.
Here you can strengthen your back muscles/abs ....:::needless to say it is a whole body workout too. emoticon Your body learns discipline, balance and endurance.

My new fitness trial & error choice:

I have decided to sprint ( for me that is a 9 minute/mile ) once around the track
( 1/4 mile ) between ST sets. It worked like a dream when I tried it last night.
I Circuit Trained for an hour. I felt So Strong when I finished! emoticon
I hope this trial/error will also increase my speed for my emoticon coming up next week.

Getting in my morning fitness helps me to regulate my appetite for the rest of the day. Not only do I eat less (since activity causes the release of endorphins, which in turn diminishes appetite), I also tend to choose smaller portions of healthier foods.

Let's make it a strong weekend!

    WOW,,,,good for you. I think I'll pass for now since my fall on my ceramic tile floor on 12/20, when I landed on my right arm/shoulder. I am still able to use the treadmill but no lifting the weights, however, I am doing physical therapy as well. I landed hard, tripping over my Bella, answering the phone!! This too shall pass! Keep up the great work, Laura!!

    You're so motivating. And absolutely right-when you workout it really makes you think before you put something in your body!

    I "fake" a Roman chair at home by putting a loaded barbell on the rack just above the bench and then placing the bench so that I can hook my heels under it with my hips off the end of the bench.

I suppose if the one at your gym breaks again you could try that...

    I love your perspective, to embrace the TOUGH ONES!!

Great job boosting calorie burn with sprints in between. Looking forward to hearing about the 5K. What is your personal goal for that day?
