I came to the realization last night, after I had eaten my dinner and still had 330 calories minimum left over that I may be eating too little. Maybe that is why my weight loss has stalled a bit.
This is a breakdown of how my weightloss has gone so far this year. I quit drinking soda the first Monday of January. The first week I lost 2 pounds. The next week I lost 1 pound. The next week I didn't lose anything. Last week, after kicking up my workouts a little, I lost 4 more pounds. This is good weight loss I know. That is 7 pounds in a month. Previously, when I have lost weight I would lose 10-15 pounds in a month. Don't get me wrong. I am happy with my weight loss.
Back to my eating too little. Before, I wasn't tracking my food. Now, that I am, I have noticed a pattern. I eat when I am hungry, and generally choose healthy foods. However, that leads to me having an excess of calories, enough for a whole meal in some cases. Like last night. I had enough calories left over to have 3 pieces of key lime pie. Not that I did. I only had one. And today so far I have eaten maybe 400 calories worth of food. I am having Mexican for dinner tonight, so that will make up some of the calories. But maybe 800-1000. Hopefully that will be plenty of calories. All I know is, if I don't lose any this week I will know for sure that I am not eating enough. If I do, then maybe I am.
