Time to set those February Goals:
2x week yoga (Monday, Thursday): time to get back to studio yoga
1x week "other" exercise (any day I choose): my choice, minimum 30 minutes if it's a dvd, 60 minutes if waking or something "easy".
1x week Deck (Sunday): do it first thing on Sunday, then do Sunday chores.
F/V Weekends: 5 f/v per weekend day minimum. 10 f/v per weekday.
Stay in Ranges: no explaination needed, you have ranges and you need to eat in them, NOT over. Focus!
Challenge: No eating extras during work day. I take food to work every day, there is no need to go and seek out other food stuffs. NO extra foods during the work day.
Sunday: Bathroom, cat box, sheets. Bathroom is every Sunday. Cat box is on rotating schedule (fluff one week, dump the next). Bed sheet washing is every other week.
Saturday: T.V. room/Dining room. First Saturday of the month is deep cleaning t.v. room. Second Saturday is maintaining cleanliness of t.v. room. Third Saturday is deep cleaning of dining room. Last saturday is maintaining cleanliness of BOTH rooms. (after that, it should be easy to maintain them in the future).
Challenge: Crafty Overhaul. This already started but will conclude as I deep clean each of the aforementioned rooms (and get every bit of crafty stuff up to the new Crafty Room). I'll discuss the progress I've made on the Crafty Overhaul in my next goal check up. (spoiler alert--it's going well).
I have a mailing schedule all figured out, so as long as I make sure I mail out the items I have listed on the dates I picked I should have no issues with getting all my swaps done. But I don't want to neglect other creative projects so I need to have a non swap to do list, too.
New Giant Squid. I definitely want to make another giant squid to display at the upcoming (in either March or April) "Art All Night" neighborhood (non juried, open to everyone) art show. Right now I'm torn between making a patchwork squid or not. I need to make that decision and gather supplies and get this project moving.
Painting. I've already started my new paintings, a series of Little Portraits (8x8 portraits of some of the critters I've made). I'm currently doing two at one time (since they're small, I need to do two each painting class so I have enough to keep busy). I want to do at least two more.
Cylindra (new robot): I've been neglecting this for a while and I want to finish her so I can paint her portrait. She's the companion piece to Mr. Roboto (and she goes with Priscilla, the cat with the eyepatch, who is the sister of Timothy, the cat Mr. Roboto is riding in my painting "Kitty Up").
This doesn't fit anywhere else so I'm just making it a side challenge. It's not a new idea, not even "new to me". I've heard of it before but it never clicked with me until now.
Grateful Journal: every day, write down three things you are grateful for. You don't need to do a lot of explaining, in fact less is more with these. They can be a frivolous or deep as you feel. The point is just to pause for a moment and actively focus on the good things (small and large) of the day.
I already started this project a few days ago and so far it's been fun. I use my commute home as my reflection time. So far the things I've listed are sometimes very goofy (like being grateful for "condiments in packets"--yes, that day I was very grateful for the mayo packet I had on my turkey burger) but that's what makes it fun and keeps it from being such a chore. You don't always have to have some BIG thing to be grateful for. Sometimes you're just grateful for mayo (and salt) packets.
As always, I want to end the month with a net LOSS. I'm hesitant to set any number goals (because I just don't like that type of thinking for myself) but I'll say I'd like to improve on January's loss. So there is a challenge but not something daunting like "lose X lbs". Just improvement. We all know I have plenty of places I can improve!
OK, there's a lot to get done for February. Time to get off the internet and DO IT!!
