Be honest!

Tracking food really is helping me.

With tracking I am able to correctly see the positive and the negative which is really helping me. Before it was most like a guessing game and for me I need structure. Having a thyroid condition kind of makes losing weight even harder than before for me, which means I have to work harder.

Which brings me to this, being honest with myself.

A few years back when I hauled butt and got down to 127 pounds(that was awesome) I really REALLY busted my butt.

I can honestly say that I gave 110%. Am I right now? Well, no. I am giving 80% maybe 70%.
Which isn’t BAD, but it’s not the best. I in my opinion am eating out still too much. I would say my husband and I order out food 1-2 times a week. Realistically I would say 2 times a week.

I guess if I REALLY want this I need to give 110% , or at least 90% for now.
It’s not easy to say no to food, especially pizza. Damn you pizza.

For instance today I am going to see a band play at a bar (my husband and sister are in it) I don’t drink so that’s not a problem but after shows we always go out to eat and it tends to be not healthy, actually it’s never healthy lol.

So when I get home tonight I am going to get all dolled up and then eat left overs from yesterday, make a sandwich or make an omelet.

I won’t be partaking in the eating crap tonight. If I do want to eat something I won’t go nuts, if I am genuinely hungry I will order something healthier or just have a little something off my husband’s plate.

I feel like I would take that extra step with losing work I can get to where I want to go.

Yeah I can give 70-80% but I think I need to push myself harder. Having fast food once a while like 1 time every other week, but not 2 times a dang week.
So here are my goals for February

1. Get 1000 fitness minutes.
2. Take the time to pack meals because buying healthy food downtown Chicago is EXPENSIVE!
3. Cut back on eating out.
4. Continue tracking food.
5. Continue working out 5-6 times a week.
6. Incorporate a new exercise.
7. Continue working out 40-60 mins per session

In conclusion if you lie about what your really doing you are only cheating yourself out of what you really want. Take a look at EVERYTHING that you are doing. If you are not losing weight you need to evaluate what your doing and change things.

My sister in laws wedding is in 4 months, I CAN DO THIS!

Thanks for sharing this blog. I really need to be honest with myself too. I track "all" my food, but I realized lately that I don't tend to count small bites and tastes of things, or like if there's chips and I only have one. I'm going to commit to counting every single thing that goes in my mouth. We can do this!!

You go for it! Accountability is the key. You never really can lie to yourself. I know when I track daily it helps me make better choices. When I have a bad day and track it honestly it helps me see why one bad day can set you back. One bad meal a week isn't as damaging. Keep your goals in mind.

It is nice to know that the eating out is something others struggle with
