Do the math... then get off your a**.

Friday, February 01, 2013

I read about this guy a few years ago after a friend saw him run in Toronto. He took up running to fill the time after his beloved wife died. Touching... more amazing... he was 89 at the time. He liked it so well that he decided to compete... and ended up running marathons. He is about to run his last marathon... after 13 years he is retiring and plans to run only 8 or 9 miles a day. Do the math... 89 + 13 = 102 Cutting back to only 8 or 9 miles a day. Let's see. I'm less than half his age... I think I can do 2 tonight at the gym.

Thanks for sharing. Hopefully I be able to run a marathon in a few years. Goal for this year is a 10K. This guy is LIGHT years ahead of me!

One of my very favorite quotes is from Richard G. Scott:

"We become what we want to be by consistently being what we want to become each day." I want to be healthy, active and fun. I'd better get off my butt! LOL

Wow, that's amazing! That's what I would love to be when I older.
