Priorities and my Cheat Day

Friday, February 01, 2013

So, my plans for the month involved exercising every day. Unfortunately, last night I was unable to. As much as getting healthy and losing weight is a priority of mine, my homework is more of a priority, so instead of doing yoga and cardio, I spent several hours researching an article and discussing questions from it. Not the easiest task. Yoga would have been a prefered way to spend my time, but priorities are what they are. Since I'm getting out of work early today, I intend to do some yoga before I head on my trip out of town for the night.

I decided that today would be my cheat day this week. Last week I had my cheat day on Saturday, and I failed completely at tracking while eating. Today I have already tracked my breakfast. I found that it's so big and calorie-laden that I'm too full to finish it until lunch time. There's definitely enough food here for two meals! I'm keeping up with my water drinking, although I fear that that goal will fall off a bit over the weekend. It's easy while I'm at work, since we have a water cooler and I always have access to clean, cool water. At home it's a bit more difficult, and out of town it will be moreso. I will still do my best, though, and hopefully maintain at least 6 cups per day.

Since I will be out of town tonight (and therefore tomorrow morning), I am moving my weekly weigh-in to Sunday for this week. This will encourage me to get onto SparkPeople to log my weight in, and also any foods I may have missed on Saturday night. I was pleased this morning when I logged onto SparkPeople to find an article about low-calorie alcoholic beverages. I emailed it to myself for reference tonight. I want to be able to drink but still be able to track my calories while I do so. i think these cocktails will help greatly in that respect! Even though today is my cheat day, I've still got a plan for tonight, and I plan on sticking to it! Motivator Me is pretty sure I can, as long as she's there to make sure I keep track!
