Forecast called for snow today. When I woke up there was no snow:( Off to SWEAT I went...sprinting, deadlifting, jump squatting, box jumping, and in the middle of all this year the trainer says, "It's starting to snow!" I got excited, but then I remembered the icy roads I had to drive on to get to school Monday. My hopes were not up.
I got home, showered, checked my phone, made my call. Ok off to school it is. The roads near me were just wet, but the closer I got to school the more snow packed they were. Finally I hit this wall of white, I could see nothing. I hoped I would stop in time and not hit the truck in front of me. I hoped the truck behind me would stop in time and not create a pile up. Thankfully all was fine. Once my viewed cleared up I checked my phone again. Elementary schools were closed. I was very thankful to only be about 1/2 way to school when I got this message. I turned around and headed back. Cars were in the ditch. I made it safely:)
When I got home I realized I could back to the gym for Zumba. Just what I needed after a stressful morning....go burn it off:) When I got to Zumba the people in class were wearing pink shirts. I said "Oh I guess I did not get the memo about the shirts." One woman said "It was sent at 7:61." This cracked me up. I replied with "Oh I didn't get that memo because that is when I got the call that school was closed." The whole room cracked up:)
So I was able to get two excellent workouts in today. I love two a days and usually only get to do them in the summer.
Looking forward to walking the pups a little later!
46.74 miles for the year!

Glad you were safe throughout, I'm jealous - my zumba was this evening and the roads were bad and getting worse, so I opted to stay safe. Good for you!

I remember my dad dealing with school being called off after he was a good chunk of the way there. Glad you made the trip safely!
