Life is never dull

Friday, February 01, 2013

My happy news today is my wonderful, slightly special DD, Mimi, has finally dumped her loser bf of 4 years. emoticon
I hope it sticks this time.
She did it a few years ago, too, but I think now she understands a bit better how useless their relationship is.
My personal opinion (for many reasons) is that he is a gay man, an ex- Marine and Italian mama's boy, who is not willing to admit, to himself or anyone, his true nature.
I could care less about him- it is my DD I care about and I am looking forward to guiding her gently through this next painful chapter of her life.

emoticon I put my scale away a few weeks ago and scaled back on my tracking/obsessing (created generic 'my breakfast, my lunch, my dinner' groupings and then tweaked a bit, as needed).
I weighed in this morning-
exactly the same as Jan 1, Dec 1, Nov 1,...
That's fine- still way overweight but I'm going to continue for Feb, adding more green smoothies, and resume my kick a$$ ST program and see what happens.

CHALLENGER15 2/2/2013 8:20AM! And at ANY age, I am finding. I totally understand your hopefulness. DD just got rid of one who threatened to kill her, her two cats, and he was a real winner, wasn't he? LOL He did get arrested, etc.

Have a good weekend!

    Good for her!

More on the diet stuff later----I've been reading a lot about Paleo, because some bloggers I've read/known for YEARS have had success with it. If the stories are to be believed, it helps with weight loss, stress, energy levels, etc. etc.

Yeah, too good to be true, but I may need to try it. I need something new!

Our "life is never dull" moment tonight came when a light bulb exploded, out of the blue, in the ceiling fan over our dining room table, just as we were finishing. It sprayed glass EVERYWHERE. I've never seen that in my 47 years!

Oh, I hope she makes this stick!! Hopefully, she'll get over the pain quickly and be happier without him!! I say it's a good thing--not obsessing and not gaining!!! Good for you!!! I say try it again in February and see what happens!

Keeping fingers crossed for you and DD that she has permanently kicked the loser to the curb!

I managed to lose a little in Jan for which I am extremely grateful.. I hope it sticks and I can take it down a bit more in Feb. I started keeping strict accounting of my WW Points Plus consumption and no nibbling without tracking! It has made a difference.

Wouldn't it be nice if daughters listened to their mothers LOL
I hope it works out for her.

I need to take a break from the scale...but I'm addicted.

If you keep your kick a$$ program, the scale (and inches lost)
will catch up

I'm watching the scale creep up day by day and it's scaring me... so I'm not going to look at it for a while until I get back from my trip and get back to a routine. We will walk a lot over there - that I know for sure ... every morning for me by the ocean :)

Happy to hear the news about DD...
