Update and ANOTHER non-scale VICTORY!

Friday, February 01, 2013

First of all an update on what I've been doing. I am still working on the whole clean eating thing. I'm not totally there yet but I'm doing a whole lot better than I was before. I am working on cleaning out the cabinets right now, and I'm nearly there. I have been going to Zumba 3 days a week for an hour. It is SO much fun! Yes at first I felt stupid and hid from the mirror. It is in a dance studio so there is a mirror running almost from wall to wall in the direction we all face. When I would catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror I would cringe! On Monday I got stuck in front of it. I felt like I overcame a fear or something. I seemed to work harder. It was like every time I saw my thighs jiggle, it made me want to work that much harder. So the mirror is no longer my enemy but now my friend. :)

Non-scale victory: Some of you will know exactly what I mean when I say that I have every size clothing imaginable in my closet. I have gone from 174 to 220. I have a variety of ranges. Yes I've gone through it several times to clean out what I know I won't ever wear even if I can fit, but I've still got quite a variety. I tried on a pair of pants last week. I got them up to my left thigh and knew that they weren't going to fit. I didn't get discouraged. I laid them on a trunk at the foot of my bed determined to see them on me soon. Well TODAY was that day! WOO HOO!! I am officially back in my "large" 14s. emoticon

ALSO... Drum roll please.... my first weight goal of 212.5 has been reached!!! One down, twenty more to go!!! emoticon
